Meet Dr. Paul York

Dr. Paul York serves as the Dean of Students at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where he is dedicated to creating a campus environment where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed. 

With more than 15 years of experience in higher education, Dr. York’s career has spanned roles in student conduct, Title IX coordination, crisis response, and strategic planning. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in Higher Education & Student Affairs from Indiana University, and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice from Indiana University. 

Before joining UCCS, Dr. York served as Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Texas A&M University–Central Texas and held leadership roles at Colorado College. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his collaborative approach, commitment to equity, and ability to navigate complex challenges with both compassion and clarity. 

At UCCS, Dr. York leads with a student-centered, data-informed, and equity-driven philosophy. Whether advocating for systemic change, supporting students in crisis, or building cross-campus partnerships, his focus remains on elevating the student voice and fostering a sense of belonging.
